Keeping up with technology can take more time than understanding it. We choose a few consequential stories, read the available evidence, and explain what it does—and does not—support.

The bar
A story ships only if it is trending or consequential and human-relevant and evidence-backed. Codified floors: composite ≥ 72, evidence ≥ 60, human stakes ≥ 55. These scores guide selection; they are not proof that a claim is true. If the evidence is thin, the issue gets shorter.
The newsroom
Scouts pull specialist press, Hacker News, topic news feeds, and optionally X (velocity radar, not truth). Desk triage dedupes and diversifies. Models help extract facts, assess stories, draft copy, and review it against the supplied sources. We link to that reporting, distinguish claims from interpretation, and write in our own words. A human publisher remains responsible and can stop any issue.
